Of Interest:
1. Garden growing for your own consumption
2. Intergenerational gardening of their plots (Assuming they mean grandparents, parents & children gardening together)
3. Gardening for other countries. (I’m not really sure what this means)
Man, I wish I bought more than 1 of these plants. These are the best tomatoes. I pick them and pop them right into my mouth on the spot. Theyre better than candy. Hopefully no one will steal them when Im not there! >:(
Tonight I will be at the garden to see of anything has ripened, to check on my powdery mildew canteloupes, and to see if I can coax my romas not to die of bottom end rot.
I am sad to say there has been a report of theft at the garden. A gardener saw a man and a woman stealing dozens of tomatoes from several garden patches. When confronted, his reponse was “what are you going to do about it”.
If you see a white sedan with the license plate FOD (dont have the numbers) please call the police immediately. A police report has been filed and the parks dept is aware of the theft. Thanks!
My cantaloupes are battling a bout of powdery mildew. I found an organic solution online, 1 tsp baking soda to 1 liter of water. I sprayed it all over the plants and pulled off the infected leaves. Hope this works. I have a lot of leaves and a ZILLION blossoms but so far only 3 itty bitty melons. Thats ok..Im thrilled to have any melons! I hope they dont succumb to the powdery mildew. I love melons..I think they might need an entire plot to themselves though, the vines hog all the space
